Who's who
Here is who plans on attending this shindig.
We got married. Let's party.
Here is who plans on attending this shindig.
Saturday, July 13th, 2024, 6:00 PM - Midnight
This isn't a wedding. We're all just here to enjoy each others' company.
Monochromatic, main-character energy. What does that mean? It means picking one color and going all out with it. We want you all to feel your best, so interpret "main character" to your liking. Metallics are also acceptable, but please, no black or white.
We're keeping this event as intimate as possible, so everyone is encouraged to upload a photo and caption to the guest gallery. The gallery will give you an idea of who you can expect to see at the party. Our families and friend groups are melding for the first time, and we think that's pretty cool.
While we love kids and there will be several of them at the party, we're requesting that you do your best to find a sitter for the evening. We don't want anyone accidentally leaving their wallet kid in El Segundo. We're making exceptions for family members and guests traveling from far away.
We're fortunate to have everything we need. We ask that you bring nothing but yourselves, please!

Tattoos? Yes, you read that correctly. We'll have a tattoo station with two artists from Black Diamond. Guests can get inked up with our preselected tattoo.
The design we chose is the empathy symbol. Created in 1973 by Deb Ellsworth, an active participant in the anti-Vietnam War movement, the symbol is a reminder that empathy can change everything for the better. Temporary tattoos are available for the suckers. Oh, and kids... who are also suckers.
Black Diamond Tattoo

If you were invited, please check your email for an RSVP link. If you didn't get an email, contact Matt or Renee.
If you weren't invited, you read all this for nothing.
They met just like any other couple meets: on twitter dot com. She thought he was funny, so she messaged him. He got scared that a stranger on the internet was talking to him.
After her second message, he responded, and a grand conversation commenced. They talked day and night, about everything under the sun (and some things above it).
She was a California expat living in Des Moines with two amazing children. An artist, a true friend, a lover of the sublime and the Sublime. He was a dude who liked Star Wars but not in a weird way or anything.
The closer they got, the more they wanted to meet in what young people call "the meat space." A plan was hatched, and Renee flew with her two children to California.
Turns out, nah.
He moved to Iowa to ply his trade in the C# fields. It didn't take long for them to move in together. It was basically like The Brady Bunch, only instead of 3 daughters, she had 2. And instead of 3 sons, he had a collection of socks with holes in them, and a dog named Danny Dyer.
Our beloved friend Danny Dyer will not be able to make it to the event. He is still on the no-fly list due to his involvement in January 6th.
